TRAINED HORSES FOR SALE

WODAN

1978 Black Hanoverian stallion 18h

Wodan was a Grand Prix showjumper under Franke Sloothak. You can see them at right in 1989, taking the first place at the Vienna Grand Prix. He had outstanding jumping scope and technique and is known to produce that in his offspring. Many of them are in higher level competition in germany in both jumping and dressage. His production record includes performers such as Tascalusa, Wallentino and Wodyna just to name a few.

His father, Winnetou, also has an amazing production. Many of his offsprings, like Wodan, proved his bloodlines worthy. Wodan's Half-brother, Winnebago, produced Mark Todd's olympic showjumping horse Bago and Andrew Nicholson's eventing ride Tempo. Another half-brother, Witzbold, produced Monopoly just after winning New-Zealand showjumping horse of the year honors himself.
Wodan is approved for breeding by Hanoverian, Oldenburg, Hessen, Rheinlander, Badenwuerthenberg and Canadian Warmblood registries. Wodan was sold for 800 000 DM by private sale in 1989. He had everything a sport-horse breeder should look for: Bloodlines, personal achievements and performing offsprings combined to an easygoing temperament. He was retired to Aubrac stables very healthy and fertile until a colic has put an end to his wonderful stallion life. He is pictured here at 23 year of age, showing a sound conformation after a long sporting and breeding career.
